Dr. Carey Wasem

Dr. Wasem, a native of Aberdeen, South Dakota, is a 1990 graduate in veterinary medicine from the University of Minnesota. After four years as a practicing veterinarian in Sacramento, CA, he moved to the Zionsville area.

Dr. Wasem is currently chief veterinarian at the Zionsville Animal Hospital. His professional areas of special interest are canine and feline internal medicine, soft tissue injuries, and orthopedic surgery. Dr. Wasem has also hosted a weekly radio show, The Pet Doctor, on Indy station WIBC.

Dr. Wasem and his wife, Tracey, also a veterinarian, have two children, Rachel and Michael. They are also proud owners of Guiness, their very friendly (and rambunctious) Labrador Retriever and Niko and Lelo, their sibling Apple Head Siamese cats. Dr. Wasem is an avid cyclist, ice hockey buff and water ski enthusiast who also enjoys trips back home to South Dakota.
